MICHAEL J. (JERRY) PORTELE

 

            Michael J. Portele is a trial attorney with extensive experience in all phases of litigation from pre-trial evaluation to post-judgment appeals and judgment collections.  He began his career defending employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation issues.  He has tried well over 125 administrative and jury trials and was quite successful in doing so.  The range of cases Mr. Portele handles varies from coverage issues to premises liability to wrongful death cases as well as business and partnership disputes.

 

            Prior to joining Pappas & Suchma, P.C., Mr. Portele’s practice expanded to include complex commercial litigation, construction law, and all varieties of torts and contract issues. 

 

            Mr. Portele earned his law degree in 2001 from South Texas College of Law.  His undergraduate degree, a bachelor’s of science in Biology, was earned from the University of Houston in 1996.  Mr. Portele now serves as the President of the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business Alumni Association and he is a founding member and acting President of the 46ers, an organization of UH alums providing assistance to the University of Houston Football Program. 

 

            Mr. Portele is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is also licensed to practice before the federal courts in Texas.
